OFFICE NAPS
Thoughtful writing, always interesting selections, great design and images, just about my favourite music blog

JUKEBOX JAM
Liam Large's Jukebox Jam series of reissue 45s and LPs are the standard bearer for supreme sound quality and dynamite selection. I'd love to go to one of his parties if I ever make it over to England too...

JESTER WILD SHOW
A fantastic archive of hour long mixes of 50s and 60s stuff done by record collectors from  around the world. The one by Juke Flywalker has been really floating my boat lately. Get on the mailing list for some good record sales too!

RECORD LABELS / SHOPS

STAG-O-LEE RECORDS
Home of the Slow Grind Fever compilation LP series, as well as plenty of other great reissue and brand new releases. Look out for the upcoming "Tav Falco's Wild & Exotic World Of Musical Obscurities", sure to be a winner.

CRYPT RECORDS
Berlin based long time home of all things raunchy. A great shop and a great label. Primitive website, primitive sounds! Check out the recent reissue of one of their late 80s LP's, "Move It" by The Gravediggers.

NORTON RECORDS
The US equivalent of Crypt. Legendary people, endless great releases, plenty o' fine things for sale in the store...

JAZZMAN RECORDS
Definitely among the top labels in the re-issue game as far as sound quality and selection and packaging. Home of the Jukebox Jam, Popcorn and TTShaker 45 reissue series.

NORTHSIDE RECORDS
Fitzroy's home of all things funky. They got jazz, soul, hip hop, afro-colombian, reggae, bollywood, all that stuff, and a little bit of other stuff too. Always fresh supplies of new and second hand wax every week.

LICORICE PIE RECORDS
Even if you live in the north of Melbourne, it's worth making the trip south of the river to spend a day at Licorice Pie. They really do have all sorts. Dave works hard out there hunting down collections, haunting graveyards, exploring sunken spanish galleons said to contain lost shipments of calypso records and so forth. No matter what you think you going down there looking for, you end up coming home with some other weird shit you never woulda thought of. It's a great store...
